Jauch has expanded its portfolio with new lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries, known for their high safety, long service life, and thermal stability. Thanks to their technical characteristics, these new sizes are very well suited as replacements for conventional lead-acid batteries.
The new batteries are available in the following models: LFP1207, 1210, 1212, 1216, 1220, 1230, 1250, 12100, and 12200, and cover a wide range of applications – from electric mobility and stationary energy storage to safety-critical industrial systems and demanding medical technology.
The range of designs is enhanced by performance-related features that support use in safety-critical and industrial applications:
Key Features of lithium iron phosphate cells:
Advantages over lead-acid batteries:
Lithium iron phosphate cells are often compared to traditional lead-acid batteries. A direct comparison reveals numerous advantages in favor of LiFePO₄ technology: they are significantly lighter, require no maintenance, and can achieve over 2,000 charging cycles – whereas lead-acid systems usually only achieve 200 to 550. The cell chemistry is thermally stable and reduces the risk of overheating or gas formation. Additionally, LiFePO₄ cells do not contain toxic heavy metals such as lead or cadmium, making them more environmentally friendly and easier to recycle. Their high efficiency and short charging times further enhance their appeal.
Typical applications:
With this portfolio expansion, Jauch reinforces its expertise in the field of safe and efficient energy storage solutions.
