In the decades that followed, the Battery business of the mid-sized company based in Schwenningen was systematically expanded on an international scale, with production and supplier structures established and technical expertise continuously developed.
With the new FR03 (AAA) and FR6 (AA) primary Batteries, Jauch introduces two high‑performance Lithium Iron(II) Disulfide Cells (Li/FeS₂) designed as a reliable alternative to conventional Alkaline Batteries. Temperature-compensated quartz oscillators (TCXOs) are clock generators that produce a very stable frequency regardless of temperature fluctuations. Such a temperature-compensated quartz oscillator uses the mechanical resonance of a quartz crystal to generate a precise frequency, which is, however, influenced by temperature changes. To achieve improved frequency stability, TCXOs use a technique called temperature compensation to reduce the temperature-dependent frequency variation of the quartz crystal itself.

The temperature-compensated crystal oscillators (TCXO) from Jauch are ideal for wireless applications. Due to their clipped-sine output, they have exceptionally low current consumption.
One oscillator stands out in particular: the JT21LE series, a crystal oscillator with very low power consumption. This month marks the 70th anniversary of Jauch Quartz GmbH, based in Villingen-Schwenningen. On July 1, 1954, the company was entered in the commercial register of the town of Schwenningen by Herbert Christian Jauch. The Schwenningen-based, medium-sized company is celebrating its 70th anniversary managed by Thomas Jauch, son of the founder, who joined the company in 1974 and took over in 1987.

Silicon-based MEMS oscillators (microelectromechanical systems) are increasingly being used in electronics development. Higher quality requirements such as accuracy, temperature and long-term stability as well as new, smaller component sizes are the driving factors establishing these oscillators as a leading timing solution on the market. The leading supplier of such silicon-based, configurable MEMS oscillators is SiTime Inc.
The JXS11P4 is the smallest SMD megahertz quartz crystal in Jauch's automotive product family. Thanks to its extremely small design, 1.6 x 1.2 x 0.35 mm, it enables further miniaturization in the design.

We are pleased that the trade fair season is slowly getting underway again and look back on two days full of interesting discussions and impressions at the Engineering Design Show 2021. This took place on October 19th and 20th in Coventry/ UK. The show stands for engineering, electronics and embedded design and offers direct access to the latest products and innovations.
The new JT21S is a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) that is perfectly suited for the use in wireless applications due to its excellent frequency stability of up to ± 0.5 ppm.

Real Time Clocks (RTCs) ensure accurate time measurement in laptops, smartphones, metering and numerous other electronic devices. At the heart of each RTC there is usually a tuning fork quartz crystal with a frequency of exactly 32.768 kHz.
