Medical-technical applications used on or within the human body are subject to extremely strict safety regulations. This also has repercussions for the manufacturers of individual components.
In order to still be able to design products into applications within this industry, different certifications need to be taken into account. One of these, for example, is the IEC 62133, according to which batteries must undergo a series of checks to ensure that the battery being used can withstand stresses from too high loading rates, overloading or mechanical impact, without danger arising.
Jauch Quartz GmbH gave correspondingly complex and in-depth consultations at the medical technology trade fair Medtec, which took place in Stuttgart in mid-April 2016. The specialist visitors of the trade fair, who came from across the globe, were particularly interested in rechargeable lithium batteries – the high energy density of this power source, the high number of loading cycles and the long service life are all plus points for the use of this technology, especially in very sophisticated medical technology.
Were you unable to visit us at Medtec? We will be happy to give you a personal consultation, either over the phone or in person at your company. We look forward to receiving your enquiry, or your call on 07720 945 0.
