Building on its longstanding expertise in frequency control products, Jauch now offers RTC Modules in addition to Quartz Crystals and Oscillators. This expands the company’s portfolio with integrated solutions for time-dependent functions in electronic devices. “With the addition of our new RTC Modules, we are extending our offering from clock generation to complete timing solutions. Precise Timing Functions in a Compact Module

A Real-Time Clock (RTC) manages time and date information independently of a device’s main processor. Thanks to a backup power supply, time data is retained even during power outages or when the device is operating in a low-power mode. In addition, modern RTCs support features such as alarms, timers, and event logging.

Unlike conventional solutions that use a separate RTC IC and an external Quartz Crystal, Jauch integrates both components into a single compact Module. This significantly reduces development effort, minimizes printed circuit board (PCB) space requirements, and decreases the number of components needed.

Focus on Energy Efficiency and Accuracy

The RTC Modules enable the microcontroller to remain in sleep mode while maintaining an active time base. This reduces power consumption and extends the overall system’s Battery life. Selected variants also feature integrated digital temperature compensation (DTCXO), which automatically compensates for temperature-related frequency deviations and ensures high timing accuracy.
