Many users still assume that rechargeable Batteries must always be fully discharged. In reality, this assumption applies today to only a very limited number of technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What Is the Battery Memory Effect?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Memory Effect describes a behavior in which a Battery appears to lose capacity when it is repeatedly only partially discharged and then recharged. Over time, the Battery \u201cremembers\u201d this limited charge range and delivers only this portion of its energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Important to note:<br>In many cases, the energy is still present; however, the voltage drops earlier, causing the device to shut down prematurely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Technical\u00a0 Background<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The root cause lies in chemical changes within the cell. In Nickel\u2011Cadmium Batteries, larger crystal structures form over time, which negatively affect the electrochemical reaction.
