From the apprenticeship right to the management level. Matthias Gebert (24 years of age) has now managed this career jump at Jauch in Villingen-Schwenningen. After his training as a specialist in warehouse logistics, Matthias Gebert assumes responsibility as Deputy Warehouse Manager. He therefore shares responsibility for one of the largest warehouses for frequency control products and batteries in the world.
After his Abitur (secondary school leaving examination), he first completed a culinary apprenticeship. “After that, I was intrigued by a glimpse into the industrial world”, states Matthias Gebert. A six-month summer job at a warehouse was the impetus for this new professional orientation. At Jauch he became familiar with warehouse logistics and all areas of the company from IT to sales.
Matthias Gebert’s apprenticeship period was reduced to two years. His continued employment was already decided after the interim examination. With a final grade of 96 out of 100 possible points, Matthias Gebert is one of the best graduates in 2018. Matthias Gebert was awarded a prize of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Schwarzwald-Baar-Heuberg for his outstanding apprenticeship. Furthermore, he received an additional prize from the vocational school, as well as the career opportunity as Deputy Warehouse Manager from his employer.
