As 2018 ends, we look back with gratitude on another successful year at Jauch. During this time, we consider others who are not as fortunate.
A few years ago, Jauch Quartz GmbH took the initiative to donate money instead of providing corporate Christmas presents to employees at Jauch. Since then, Jauch has consciously chosen non-profit organizations in the region which provide exceptional help to the community. Last week, Andreas Nann, Board of Directors member, was able to hand over a donation check worth 10,000 euros to “Katharinenhöhe” in Schönwald, Germany.
Katharinenhöhe is a rehabilitation clinic specializing in children, adolescents and young adults suffering from cancer and heart disease. The family-oriented rehabilitation center helps each patient and family with physical and psychosocial support. The center works to provide normality after traumatic events in young people and their affected loved ones.
During a facility tour, Nann learned about the individual variety of programs to support those affected and their families. Nann met with head of administration at Katharinenhöhe, Ilona Mahamoud, who enthusiastically and caringly described the development and continued growth of their facility. “Our money is in more than good hands” said Nann after this visit to Schönwald.
